Leaving for the Highlands and a plate of Haggis

First point, there's already extraordinary interest in issue #9 and it

seems to be centered around that Duncan character. Copies will be

available at Interaction at the Borderlands Books table, as well as

copies from me. There's a super secret link for people at Interaction

who can't find a copy at the dealer's table or from me. The prices at

the site are slightly discounted from normal non-North American prices

(so if you're from the US, you would spend more money by buying

through this site, but go ahead if you want to). At this page you can

buy individual copies or subscriptions.

Second point, I'm getting ready to leave for Interaction in a few

days. I won't be posting until Aug 13/14 that I know of, but if I find

a terminal, maybe I'll have a go. We've got plane tickets, hotel

reservations, British pounds sterling, all the things that make a trip

to the UK more pleasant. I have no con schedule to post, I'm not

officially a member. I refuse to travel to somewhere as cool as

Scotland and spend the entire time on panels and in the dealer's room.

That said, here is my schedule for Scotland:

Aug 4: arrive early morning in Glasgow, take train to Edinburgh.

Aug 4 - 5: tour Edinburgh doing touristy things

Aug 6: take train back to Glasgow and head to bar to find convention

Aug 7: I have an afternoon meeting with Cory Doctorow, but hope to get

in a little sight-seeing in the morning; spend the rest of the day at

the convention

Aug 8 - 12: rent car and drive all over the Highlands; this is a

little frightening since I'll have to chant "stay to the left" to

myself while I drive

Aug 12 (evening): arrive back in Glasgow to be near airport

Aug 13: fly back to NJ

Interaction that I've never physically met and that I would like to

get the chance to (plus friends I haven't seen for a while! Such as:
